We have a 15″ inch Macbook, and I got this thinking it would be a nice bag to protect an expensive computer. Well, it is, but there are a few things that could be changed.
1) There are no extra-either inside or outside-pockets for anything else. It is just a sleeve for the computer.
2)The inner lining is soft enough, and seems to do a good job protecting the device.
3) Outer materials seems durable, and I like the stylish design.
4)My big issue is the strap. If you carry it like a notebook, no big deal, but the strap is not padded, and digs into your shoulder. It isn’t an expensive case, so you are getting what you pay for, but for a few dollars more a padded strap would do wonders.
Not a bad case for the money, but I would rather spend 5 or ten dollars more to get more for my money.

I got this for my girlfriend’s new 15.6″ Toshiba laptop. Being a bag for 15″ sized laptops, I was happy to find it. First time she saw it, she loved it. She likes the design, the strap comfort, and the overall functioning. But when we went to place her laptop in the bag, it didn’t fit. The laptop was just about an inch too long for the bag. I tried my 2007 model 15″ Macbook Pro and it fit perfectly. From this I summarized that this sleeve is literally just for 15″ laptops and probably only certain 15″ at that. It also had no room left over for a charger cord or even a wireless mouse – this is just a snug sleeve with strap. I’ve had two different 15″ sized bags and one 15″ sized sleeve – all of those have a little bit wiggle room or they are designed to stretch slightly to need. This bag does not, regardless of how good my girlfriend thinks it looks. I can say that if your laptop does fit – this is a quality item made for durability and comfort. But, if you are looking for a more versatile sleeve or bag that might fit a bulkier laptop – look further.

I bought this bag as a transition bag… just something to carry my laptop until I find the bag that would suit me fully. It came quickly and the service was good but the bag wasn’t what I expected. The material has a plastic shine to it that takes away from the quality look I expected. Also the bag doesn’t hold anything except the laptop. It doesn’t have any pockets for the charger or anything else. Since my purchase I’ve added a hardtop cover over my laptop for protection and as this bag is the exact dimensions of my MacBook Pro 15″ this bag no longer fits my MacBook. It’s a nice bag, it just isn’t what I was looking for.

This is exactly what I wanted for my laptop. I had looked at a lot of neoprene sleeves and none seemed to fit for what I needed one for. I wanted one mainly for travel when I stow my laptop in my wheeled carry-on and want it protected. This is perfect. I can put my laptop in this sleeve and into my carry on and quickly remove it for security checks and when I get on board and want to use it and then stow my suitcase up top. With the inside is a soft liner and your laptop is well protected and cushioned. It even has liner on the inside to protect from the top slot zipper. The detachable carry on strop is easy to pop on and comfortable to wear if you choose to do so that way. The decoration of the case is stylish and appropriate for my style. The black curlycues are drawn on an off-white almost almond color on one side and the other is all black. I also like using it as a cushion for my lap to put my laptop on and it help to keep my lap cooler. Perfect product for me and for a really good fair price….also very durable! If I had any complaint, it would be that it only carries the laptop BUT that IS what it is made for so I just stored my power cord in my suitcase as I didn’t need it on board anyway.

And that’s exactly what this is! The Acme laptop sleeve leaves not a centimeter of space for anything BUT your Macbook.
I think that thing that throws you off with this is that the case is so pretty (protective plastic in the front, and a tough clothlike back). Then there’s the strap, which holds the case nicely.
But who uses a strap on a notebook sleeve? You usually put the laptop in the sleeve and put that in another carrying case.
I guess I can see this making sense if you have a Macbook Air. The case of the laptop is much lighter (natch), and using a cute little carrying case with a shoulder strap seems more practical, since you’re keeping it all on the light side.
Don’t get me wrong. The Acme’s construction is perfectly fine for carrying a heavier 15″ Macbook. It’s just that there’s no room, and I do mean NO room, for anything else!
It’s a shame, too, because this case really is cute. Ah well. Maybe I’ll save this for the Macbook Air I’m dying to get (or the mythical Mac Netbook I keep dreaming of!)
